Hi! Thank you for visiting the Allora Vintage online store and welcome to our world of vintage finds. I’m Angela Papa Leipold and most of the time you’ll find me crawling around one of my family’s warehouses, or cruising the many markets and estate sales in the mid-Atlantic, always searching for treasures that give homes history. After 25+ years doing special events and galas at the Smithsonian Institution, and a lifetime of learning from my parents about all things vintage, I opened Allora Vintage to share my love for the beautiful objects and stories that speak of our past and beautify our lives. When I’m not busy in one of our warehouses, you can find me enjoying a good red, a slice of pizza, and, because of those things, running marathons.
P.S. Allora is a handy Italian word that means “so” or “therefore” in conversation. It also means “at that time” when referring to the past, which is my preferred usage, of course.
WE LOVE OLD THINGS
SOME OF OUR FAVORITE THINGS
I love the history of an old piece of floral china, the chips and nicks and scratches all a sign of meals enjoyed in years gone by. Lovely to look at, we have many fine examples to brighten your home.
Tin ceilings, from a time when every part of a room was made beautiful, especially what was overhead. Allora Vintage has thousands to choose from, and lots of ideas on repurposing to accent your home, porch, and garden.
Once upon a time
Books, books, and books; homes for all our favorite stories. Allora Vintage has them by the hundreds, in every condition, for that “just right” accent, or just to read!
We appreciate the timeless quality of old things and the care that went into their design and making. We give them new life by restoring and re-envisioning these forgotten treasures. Our business model, by its very nature, is firmly rooted in the reduce, reuse, recycle movement. We are committed to sustainability in all our company does.
